Vertaald door AI (EN). Toon origineel (NL)

Paris originated around a settlement of the Celtic tribe, the Parisii, around the 3rd century BC. This settlement was located on an island in the Seine, now known as Île de la Cité. The Romans conquered the area in 52 BC and named it Lutetia. Over the following centuries, it grew into an important city and was officially named Paris in the 12th century. Paris further developed into the cultural, political, and economic center of France and Europe.
